Privacy policy
This policy explains how ATLAS SOVEREIGN LTD, trading as Atlas Heritage, uses personal information collected through atlasheritage.eu and in the course of our brokerage work. We are the data controller. You can contact us about this policy or your information at private@atlasheritage.eu.
Information we collect
- Details you send through our enquiry form or by email: your name, contact details, country of residence, and information and photographs of the piece you wish to sell or acquire.
- Identity and due-diligence information we request before an introduction, such as identity documents, proof of address, and source-of-funds information where required.
- Records of our correspondence and of any transaction we broker.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and assess your piece or request. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to you, and taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
- To carry out the identity and anti-money-laundering checks that the law requires. The legal basis is our legal obligation.
- To introduce buyers and sellers and to manage a transaction. The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed: with a prospective buyer or seller whom you have approved, with independent specialists, inspectors, escrow agents and shippers involved in your transaction, with identity-verification providers, and with our website host and email provider, who process data on our behalf. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are located outside the United Kingdom. Where that is the case, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect your information.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship for up to two years. Where we carry out due-diligence checks or broker a transaction, the law requires us to keep the related records for five years after the business relationship ends.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads. Our host records standard server logs for security.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to your information, and to ask us to correct, erase or restrict it, or to object to how we use it. Some rights are limited where we must keep records by law. To make a request, write to us at the address above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.
