Atlas Heritage / Dept. II
Fine art, placed with care.
Paintings, works on paper and sculpture, from Old Masters to contemporary art, presented privately to collectors who know the artist and the market.
The right collector for each work
A private sale lets a work change hands without the exposure of a public sale, and without the risk of a published result if it does not sell. We present each work with its provenance, exhibition history and condition, so that a serious collector can decide with confidence.
Before any introduction we carry out the identity and anti-money-laundering checks required for art transactions. Where a work's authenticity needs confirming, we seek the view of the recognised authority on the artist before we offer it.

How we confirm each piece
Every piece is checked before it is offered, so that buyers can commit with confidence and sellers receive serious offers.
The recognised authority
Where needed, we seek confirmation from the catalogue raisonné author, the artist's foundation or a recognised expert.
Clear history
We check stolen-art registers and review the ownership history for gaps, especially for the years 1933 to 1945.
Independent conservator
An independent conservator can provide a condition report before the buyer commits.
Fine Art: common questions
Can you tell me what my painting is worth?
We can give you an indicative view based on comparable private and public sales. For insurance, probate or tax purposes we refer you to an independent accredited valuer.
My work has no certificate. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Many important works have no certificate. Where authenticity needs confirming, we approach the recognised authority on the artist before offering the work.
Do you handle prints and editions?
Yes, for important signed editions by established artists, with documentation of the edition.
Who arranges shipping and insurance?
We coordinate specialist fine-art shippers and transit insurance. The cost is agreed between buyer and seller as part of the sale.
